Le Vignoble du Monastir

The Roig family have been winegrowers in Trouillas in Eastern Pyrenees since 1852. In 2017 the family tradition was given a new lease of life by the grand-daughter and her partner creating Le Monastir vineyard located in the Aspres (arid soils), in the foothills of the Canigou, sacred mountain of the Catalans. The geological mosaic of soils, as well as the Mediterranean climate create the rich individuality of Aspres vineyards which, perfectly suited to vine growing and low yields, compensate by high levels of quality. The domaine is in the process of organic agriculture certification.
