About
The Château de Jau was founded in the 12th century by monks. The Dauré family acquired the estate in 1970 to renew all of the vineyard and has long been acknowledged as the premier winemaking family of Côtes du Roussillon.
The estate is occupying around 100 hectares of vines ideally located in the Agly Valley and has been cultivated in organic farming for the last 3 years. There are the classic Mediterranean varietals : Syrah, Grenache Noir / Gris , Carignan, Mourvèdre, Vermentino & Macabeu.
The true expression of JAU is decades of craftsmanship, passion, and a pioneering spirit.
